First Communion

The Sacrament of the Eucharist

When Do I Register My Child For First Communion?

Here at All Saints we typically celebrate the first reception of the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist with our second-grade parishioners and their families.  The celebration is usually held on the last weekend of April.

For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.

What's Next?

It’s important to note that the preparation period for the sacrament begins when the child is in the first grade, since it also includes preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Classes are held on Wednesday evenings, September - May.

These early steps in the sacramental life of a child are important events for the children and their families…and for our entire parish family!

Parental guidance and participation are so important in bringing our children to the Sacraments.  That’s why our approach to preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist also includes sessions to help the parents help their children!
